Precious Life is a story of compassion among enemies and cruelty among neighbors set against the backdrop of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Directed by Shlomi Eldar, the Gaza reporter for Israel’s Channel 10 news, the film tracks the story of Mohammed, a 4-month-old Palestinian baby suffering from a rare immune deficiency treated by Israeli doctors. The race by Israelis and Palestinians to save one life is embedded in the larger routine of the two communities grinding each other up, reflecting the complexities of the Middle East.
