The Santa Fe Jewish Film Festival is dedicated to Lynn Kraidin, of blessed memory. Lynn was a lover of the arts, a vibrant part of the Santa Fe community, and the catalyst for creating the Jewish Film Festival. As a member of HaMakom, the Film Festival's original founding sponsor, she was responsible for HaMakom's first community-wide screening and premiere of the documentary Colours of the Holocaust. The warm reception and broad attendance at the premiere laid the first brick in the foundation for the Festival. As a member of the Film Festival's original organizing committee, her enthusiasm and energy gave life to what had previously been an idea, i.e., to bring to Santa Fe films that inform and foster understanding of Jewish culture, history, religion and/or identity. Her wise counsel, creativity and shining countenance are deeply missed.
